Our little lovebug is 1 1/2 years old!
- At her doc appt this morning she weighed 26 lbs and was 32 in long (all in the 75th percentile!)
- She learned some new words (although she likes to try to repeat any words you say), mailman, highchair, sky, pretty and elbow. She knows where her elbow is too!
- She got one huge goose-egg on her forehead this month, poor baby, tripped and fell on the concrete. It didn't stop her for long and fortunately was much better by the next day.
- Avery has overcome her fear of swimming lessons, she used to love her lessons but went through a couple months where she would just cry the entire time and wouldn't go underwater! I'm pleased to say that now she is back to loving it! she even puts her own head underwater. She is a fabulous back floater and also tries to blow bubbles.
- She can now reach the kitchen table and kitchen counters and take things that are close to the edge. Look out!!!
- She likes to walk down the driveway waving and saying bye-bye, she gets to the sidewalk and turns around saying "home"!
- Avery has started giving "squeezes" she will open her arms and wrap them around you, still working on teaching her to squeeze back!
- When she hears or sees me get my keys out she immediately says "bye-bye momma".
- Avery tried watermelon for the first time and loves it! I wasn't surprised though, who doesn't like watermelon? :)
- Avery has definitely started her "terrible 2's" at least where tantrums are concerned. She knows what she wants and when she is told no she has started throwing fits. Especially when she wants a snack "nack" and its not time for a snack yet!
- When she gets scared now she will start saying "home". Its too cute.
- I have been trying to get Avery away from saying "yep" and to say "yes" instead but I'm noticing that I use the word "yep" way too much. Probably where she got it! oops!!!
- Avery loves to try to kiss and feed "bubba". She tries to feed my belly!! its too cute.
- She does the sweetest thing before naptime. She has never been a cuddly baby but now when she gets her paci and lovey she lays her head down on our shoulder while we sing "twinkle twinkle little star". Sometimes she will wrap her arms around whoever is holding her and even give a couple pats! Its a very sweet moment and I think it really relaxes her.
- Avery has started signing "thank you" without us asking her to. Usually when I give her food she will sign thank you! Its so cute.
- Avery used to be a fast eater and now she is VERY slow! She gets easily distracted unless you give her goldfish, cheerios or cookies!
I can't believe she is already a year and a half!!!!
