new baby nursery

I have an inspiration for how I want the walls in baby boy's room to look, I have fallen in love with a harlequin accent wall! I couldn't seem to come up with a color scheme on my own but found a blog post and am now in love with the blue diamonds!!! Hope chris is up for the challenge! fortunately, I think Cindy is going to help out :)

Now I'm stuck on bedding... I just don't like any of the airplane beddings out there right now. I have thought about ordering a custom bedding set but they are so expensive!!

17 months old

Avery Jo is a whopping 17 months OLD!! How is that possible? :)

• I forgot to post last month that Avery knows 4 letters!!! A, B, O and T. She can pick them out on signs, shirts, almost anything.
• She loves to talk about everyone she knows. Especially talking in her crib before going to sleep, she will talk about Papa(X2), Gigi, Parker, Gaga, Daddy, Emme, Nini, Jay, and Momma! She will say a name and laugh!
• If I tell Avery we are going on a walk in her little car the first thing she says is "Emme", she always thinks we are going for a visit!
• Avery no longer likes having her picture taken. If I get my phone out especially she will shake her head and say "no". Then she wants to look at my phone because she knows there are pictures of herself on it. She taps her chest and says "A" meaning she wants to see pictures of herself! She also knows there are pictures on the computer of her and would probably be content to sit and watch them all day.
• She is very excited to walk on her tippy toes! its too cute, she holds her arms straight out(like a zombie) and walks around on her toes!
• She started saying "Yep" this month, not sure where she got that!
• Avery had a big mommy anxiety moment when I was holding brand new baby Kennedy. She wanted "up momma" but I told her no, that I was holding the baby. She melted!! Think she's going to have a rough time when her brother comes.
• She also has become possessive over my belly "baby" or "bubba" as she calls it, my friend nicole was feeling my belly and Avery just started crying, saying "no"! I asked her if daddy could kiss my belly and she said no as well, only Avery could kiss my belly! She may have a rough time when this baby does come! :(
• Avery loves to make some funny noises and faces, her favorite face is still her "angry eyes"!
• She loves the "talking tom" app on my phone.
• Avery has popped out another molar on her bottom left side. But she refuses to let me see inside her mouth! She also has started fussing when we brush her teeth, I think its because her gums are swollen and sore!
• Avery has also started saying this word, "ou-tag" I think she is trying to say outside but also uses it for upstairs and who knows what else?! its hard to tell sometimes.
• She has become afraid of loud noises, it makes her upset if a big truck drives by or a loud horn sounds.
• Her favorite food right now is cheese! she is also still a good vegetable and fruit eater! :)

Avery and Talking Tom

This weekend Chris and I went to a wedding in Nebraska while Avery spent the weekend with Papa and Gramma. They discovered a new favorite toy for Ave. She loves the "Talking Tom" app for the iPhone/iPod! He is a cat that repeats what you say in a high-pitched voice! Here is a video we caught tonight of her "talking" to "Tom";

She gets distracted by the camera. She likes that we can flip out the camera screen so she can see herself!!

Halfway

I can hardly believe it but today I'm 20 weeks pregnant! This means I'm halfway there to meeting our little guy. Its going by fast so far. :)

Even though this pic doesn't show it I'm quite a bit bigger at this point than I was with Avery.

Avery at the park

Avery loves being outside. She loves going to the park even more. This day she was learning how to go down the stairs on her bottom instead of trying to step down, which she can't quite do yet. I end the video before having to practically drag her to the car, she never wants to leave or come back inside when it is time. sorry for the wind noise!

16 months old

Avery Jo is now 16 months old

(even though she didn't really get a "birthday" with no 29th day in February) :)

• Her vocabulary has really grown the past few months. She surprises me with some of the words she knows. She has quite the little attitude sometimes, her favorite word right now is "no"
• Avery's favorite place to be is outside, she gets mad when I tell her its time to come inside. She loves to walk/run up and down the sidewalks.
• When I ask her whats in my belly she says "baby" (with what sounds like an italian accent) and will even say "bubba"
• She still takes 2 naps a day, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon. She sleeps 11-12 hours a night, although some morning she's been waking around 7:15 (I'm hoping its a phase) :)
• Avery loves animals, we have a screen saver on our apple tv and its a slideshow of animals and she gets so excited when it comes on, she knows the bear, bird, elephant and cat (tiger)!

I didn't do very well on writing down the new things she's doing, I've been a little preoccupied! :( I'm hoping to do better next month!
