New 3d pics

We went back for another 3d ultrasound on Thursday. This time Baby Avery was almost too awake. She squirmed and moved around so much the technician almost didn't have time to focus in before she'd move again. I think I may have given her a sugar rush. Chris and I stopped by Braums and got a chocolate milkshake just before the session. She was still moving even after we left. I had heard that if you drink something cold and sweet that they will stay awake for awhile. We did get to see her do some really cute movements; we saw her open her mouth, yawn (many times), and even try to eat her hand!! She just loved sticking her fingers in her mouth, I think she was exploring. We even saw her open her eyes for just a bit. It was really amazing to watch. I could've stayed there all day and watched her move! I have a feeling she will be a very active baby!
This one is for dad; she is already a trekkie! See the vulcan sign? Live long and prosper! haha
The stuff to the left of her face is placenta tissue, the tech said that since she was so close to the uterine wall it was a bit cloudy.
Almost a smile!
Mouth open!

Got her fingers in her mouth!

more pics

Can you see her little leg and foot?
Mouth open again!! :)
2cute!
Love her!

Today we went to Visions of Love for a 3d/4d Ultrasound session! These pics below were from the very beginning of the session. We got a few good face pics but then she decided to first put her feet up and then her hand in front of her face. She was awake at the beginning and then went to sleep and we couldn't get her to move anymore. We will go back again next week and see if she isn't so camera shy! It was great to see her with some fat on her cheeks! She didn't look like an alien, but like a baby. Chris was finally convinced that she is in fact a GIRL and we picked her name..... Introducing: AVERY JO RHODES!!!
Love her cute nose! Think the dark thing to the right of her face is her umbilical cord
Kinda hard to see but if you look close you can see her smiling!
Hand under the side of her face
Love her! She is also head down which was a relief to me! Lets just hope she stays that way!
31 weeks 1 day! only 8 weeks 6 days to go! :)
We can't wait to meet you Avery!

29 weeks!

Well, since this week is the only time this month that chris is home for more than 3 days at a time so we had a few projects to try and cover. The main one was PAINT! Chris and I spend 2 days, 3 trips to Home depot and 5 paint samples trying to find the right shade of pink for the baby room. I didn't want to go too bright. I think we have finally made a decision and tomorrow chris will begin painting her room. Here is a pic of our paint tries:
The one we chose is the bottom right color. The far left was too bright. Middle one had a purple tint to it. Top right was also a little too bright. Middle right was almost white, didn't have much pink in it at all. The winner was bottom right and I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Our plan is to paint above the chair rail and then either leave the bottom the color it is now or paint an ebony/beige color. I will post more pics when we get it all done!

Our 2nd task for this week was to try and decide what to name her..... This is much easier said than done. Its a big decision and not one either of us want to rush. We have a few ideas but nothing concrete! For now we just call her Baby Jo (Jo will be her middle name, after Nanny, my grandma on my mom's side). I would have liked to have this decided before my Oklahoma shower, this saturday, but thats not looking very likely! I will definitely update if we do decide!

Today marks the beginning of week 29! that makes me 7 months 1 week. Hard to believe she could be here in 11 weeks (give or take a few). Here is my week 29 belly pic:

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the shower this weekend! Plus I get to go wedding dress shopping with my mom and sister! Hard to believe she will be getting married next year! June 12, 2010!!!!! What a busy year!
